Songcraft Essentials focuses on the creative process of writing and shaping music, with emphasis on composition, structure, and musical intent. The course helps students understand how ideas develop into complete and expressive songs.
Learning is guided through creative exercises and studio-based practice, encouraging students to develop clarity and confidence in their songwriting approach.
Curriculum & Learning
Students work on arrangement, composition, and song structure while exploring melody, harmony, and chord movement. The course introduces harmonisation concepts and lyrical development, helping students understand how musical and lyrical elements function together.
The focus remains on applying creative ideas practically rather than approaching songwriting as abstract theory.
Outcomes
By the end of the course, students are able to develop structured compositions and approach songwriting with improved clarity and confidence.
Eligibility
Students who have completed Class 12 (or equivalent) with a basic working proficiency in English and Hindi. No prior songwriting or production experience is required.
