Digital Audio Fundamentals

Overview


Digital Audio Fundamentals introduces students to the core tools and workflows used in modern music production. The course focuses on learning how to operate a DAW and work confidently with digital sound through hands-on studio practice.

Students build familiarity with music production software and essential studio workflows, creating a strong foundation for further creative and technical learning.

Curriculum & Learning


Students learn to work with audio and MIDI inside a DAW, including software instruments, loops, sampling, and basic synthesizing. Creative effects and audio plugins are introduced to demonstrate how sound is shaped and processed during production.

The course also develops clarity around audio flow, signal routing, and session organisation within a real studio environment. Primary instruction is conducted using professional DAW environments such as Logic Pro, with concepts applicable across platforms.

Outcomes


By the end of the course, students are able to navigate a DAW confidently and understand the fundamentals of digital sound creation and processing.

Eligibility


Students who have completed Class 12 (or equivalent) with a basic working proficiency in English and Hindi. No prior experience with music production software is required.
